Lahaina Luke Photography Has Changed to Granite Cliff Studio
Year in Review
Something New in 2022
2022 to me felt like the end of 2020. With so much changing and new normals happening it all seemed to run together. For me it really was the beginning of a career change and a move around the world. Being in the world of hospitality for so long and working seasonally in beautiful destinations was a great life-style for me while not really having to commit to anything. Now I have a partner and the capabilities are endless. Moving to somewhere I had never been to before was nothing new for me but this time was different. A lot more to lose. Taking a risk to do what you truly love is freedom. Knowing that you can fail is pressure and pressure brings out our greatest self.
The new Granite Cliff Studio is starting to take shape, a new printer on the way, a workshop to build and create custom frames and a whole new region to create art. California has always been the jewel of the U.S. The diversity of the coast to the mountains, old growth forests, the largest deserts in the world and wildlife everywhere. What a place to start a new life as a photographer. I live just a couple doors down from the Ansel Adams Gallery which will be up and running again this year with workshops to continue to improve my craft with the wisdom from world famous photographers.
For those of you that travel through the Yosemite area I hope you can reach out and I can host you and show some of my favorite locations. Some you will recognize in new products that I will be selling on the website or blogging about in some of the great short stories that follow Jamie and myself. Thank you for all the support and allowing to share my vision with you. For now here is a recap of 2022 in some of my favorite images.
