Description

Normally the star of the show here is Yosemite Falls. But in Autumn the long row of black oaks and dry grasses that form Cook’s Meadow light up gold and catch your eye. The layers continue up into a beautiful blue sky. In 2023, fall in Yosemite was longer than usual. The incredible snowfall kept the meadows and trees healthy and lush. The incredible plants of Yosemite were very happy this year. As was the waterfall, Yosemite Falls is normally nonexistent in the late months of the year due to lack of snowmelt or rain. In 2023, the waterfall continued to flow the whole year except a couple days where it froze.
